Linda's Birthday!

 

Linda started watching me when I was 5 weeks old. She is my 2nd mom, and I still rely on her! I would visit her occasionally through middle and high school, and also when I was in college. Linda helped throw my wedding shower, then my baby showers with my mom, Tami, Debby and Jen. When I went back to work when Jack was 5 months old, I was so thankful that Linda was there to watch him for me. I took a year off when Charli was born, and Linda was there again to watch her when I started working at kids club when she turned 11months old. These days, Linda feels as much like a friend as a mother. It is an amazing gift and I am so grateful to have her in my life.

On this day I happened to be fighting a cold that has hung around for almost 2 weeks. I only had one kiddo to babysit for the morning, and Jack had a half day at school, but I was so uncomfortable I couldn't really enjoy the easy day I had planned on. Constant coughing is just a pain. So the girls and I were pretty lazy, watched a Tinkerbell movie, and then they floated around the house happily.

 

Jordon came home a couple hours early and took the kids so I could rest for a few hours. They sure made up for it at bedtime! Jack cried for at least an hour ( note to Dad: don't show Jack his baby photos before bed) because he wanted to stop growing and go back to being a baby. Sheesh. Charli was equally stubborn. A some point, I was in my room with Everett, Jordon was upstairs with Jack, and Charli snuck downstairs to play! She was not happy that I sent her back to bed.
